Welcome to September

As I pencilled down the number 9 on my jotter, I had chills. This is the ninth month of the year, but I hadn’t gotten through three-quarters of my projection and aspirations for the year, 2020. I know I am not alone in this predicament. That’s why I wish to share my ideas on how to come to.

The countdown for the yearend has commenced. We have all been ushered into the “ember” months. Whether we like it or not 2020, is on its way out. Some are wondering “Is this even a year?” Others are like “Let’s get it over with”. But there are those whose attitude is “Bring it on, I will win! No matter how far back I feel I am.”

We all have our impressions about the year and all its challenges. This is just a unique year. We have survived and must make the best out of it. Don’t forget; when this year is over, what 2020 will mean to you would be what you made it mean!

There is still time to recover, all hope isn’t lost. Mason Cooley made a profound statement: Regret for wasted time is more wasted time! The truth is if you can run, you can catch up.

Here is how to R.U.N.:

Re-strategise: You may need to make adjustments to your masterplan. Do not be afraid of making necessary changes. For a lot of people, rigidity and fear are their problems. They fix their minds on something and cannot change or adapt in the face of obvious non-fulfilment. Your plan is not cast in stone, that is why it is a plan. Re-strategise!

Undertake: You have to do the things that must be done to achieve your goals. They won’t happen by magic! Do them! Don’t just ‘hope for’ and ‘wish about’. Take your plan to the next level by adding action. You have to put your mind and body to work. Be committed to making it happen.

Nab: Finally, when the opportunities appear… reach out and take them. While some have been deeply disappointed by this year, there are others who have grown in leaps and bounds, financially and otherwise. Why? They looked beyond the difficulties to see possibilities.

So, run! The apostle Paul made a pivotal statement
“Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it.” Run! Do not be overly casual, don’t be enervated, don’t get disheartened.

Here is your “GO-Juice”, 1 Corinthians 9:24, drink deep and share.
